Start-Up Visa (SUV)
Canada's Start-Up Visa Program offered permanent residency to immigrant entrepreneurs with innovative, investor-backed business ideas. The program is currently paused for new applicants as of January 1, 2026, while IRCC manages existing backlogs and develops a replacement pilot program. INGWE is actively monitoring any updates and will publish details as soon as they are confirmed.

Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP)
Canada's only passive investor immigration program, open since January 1, 2024, and accepting applications indefinitely. The QIIP grants Canadian permanent residency through a structured investment in Quebec, with no requirement to manage or operate a business.
Key facts:
- Minimum net worth of CAD 2,000,000, legally acquired
- Investment of CAD 1,200,000 placed with an accredited financial intermediary for five years, of which CAD 1,000,000 is government-guaranteed and returned in full after the term
- Two years of management experience within the past five years
- French proficiency at B2 level in oral expression and comprehension
- Full family inclusion: spouse and dependent children under 22
- Intention to settle in Quebec required
The investment can be financed through an accredited intermediary, bringing the effective out-of-pocket cost to approximately CAD 350,000 for clients who prefer not to lock capital for five years.
